Maryland fishing charter

Whats New At Chesapeake . . .

Winter weather is getting me down! Few trips are getting out. The best area to fish may be the power plant at Calvert Cliffs right now. Click on link for a look at pictures from last season at the power plant. Also click on my fishing reports for up to date reports of what is going on.

I am taking reservations for the Susquehanna Flats at this time. Book your trip soon to insure the date you want! I only book trips there for about 18 days starting April 15th. Despite tough fishing there over the last few years, it is still the only place on the bay to possibly catch a giant striped bass on fly in only a few feet of water.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Jeff and Taylor Turner. This father and son set out to FISH 50 TROPHY WATERS IN 50 STATES IN 50 DAYS. This was to be a true epic father and son adventure. Read what they did and view the video when they came to fish in Maryland waters with Captain Russ. click here. This is the best example of the type of fishing going on right now. Come see for your self.

Coastal waters and back country fishing was great this past summer. Fished for red drum and tarpon in the shallow water of the Virginia barrier islands. Cobia, amber jacks, and barricuda are in all available on the wrecks and other off shore structure. Big fish are calling for flys. Contact me now for a trip to some incredible opportunity in the coastal waters at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay.

Winter time and wishing for some warm tropical action? View the pictures from my Guatamala Sail Fishing adventure. Really a wonderful trip. I just wanted to share this with you. Click on link to view Photos or Video
